Our Story

We did not plan any of this. One look turned into one conversation, one conversation into a thousand more, and then somehow it was years later and we still had not run out of things to say.

THE BEGINNING

How We Met

Neither of us remembers who spoke first. We just remember not wanting the conversation to end. There was this pull, quiet but persistent, like recognizing someone you hadn't met yet.

THE SPARK

Falling In

It wasn't one big moment. It was Tuesday nights and inside jokes and choosing each other over and over. At some point we stopped calling it new and started calling it ours.

THE QUESTION

The Proposal

He asked. She said yes before he finished the sentence. There were tears and laughing and a ring and the strange, wonderful feeling of a future that suddenly had a shape.

Where to Stay

Acme Hotel

Our pick for the weekend. It is well-located, reasonably priced, and close to everything you will want to do in Chicago. Book early if you can.

Getting Around

→Fly into O'Hare (ORD) for the most options. Midway (MDW) works too, especially on Southwest.
→The Blue Line runs from O'Hare to downtown in about 45 minutes for a few dollars. Hard to beat.
→Uber and Lyft work well here. We would recommend rideshare to and from the venue.
→There is street parking near The Ivy Room and a few garages nearby with evening rates.
→If you are staying in the Loop or Streeterville, the venue is a short walk or cab ride.

Questions & Answers

Formal evening wear. Think romantic elegance. Floor-length gowns, cocktail dresses, dark suits, tuxedos. Dress up and have fun with it.

Yes, we would love for you to bring a plus one. Just include their name and meal preference when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Note them in the RSVP form and we will pass it along to our caterer. They are used to accommodating all kinds of dietary needs.

Street parking is available near The Ivy Room, and there are garages close by with evening rates. Rideshare is also an easy option.
